So I don't even really know how this works, yet somehow those of you that will read this have convinced me that I need to be putting my life out on cyberspace.
Who can really say that they don't like Cheerios? Even if by some miracle you don't like the stuff in the big yellow box, it's called "Honey Nut" or "Multi-Grain" or about 6 other things as well.
You know, I've been wondering this for a week and it's still bothering me. Probably because there's one of these ridiculous things sitting on the desk, watching me, mocking me. What are those Russian dolls-within-dolls-within-dolls-within-dolls-within-dolls called? They are weird. I can't say I'm a huge fan of knick-knacks either, but my sister DID bring it back from the other side of the world.....
So we've got the pinewood derby coming up in two days. For those who don't know, Amanda and I are in charge of the webelos cub scouts in our ward. It should be a fun time, especially since we just got a new cubmaster who actually knows what he's doing and who has prettymuch taken over. He called us up this evening and wanted input on various awards that we could give out on Saturday (apart from 1st 2nd 3rd etc.). I really wish I had more creative ideas to give him, but all I could come up with was "coolest paint job". Hopefully a bit more creativity stems from his end.
Filling up a decent sized post has been more difficult than I thought. It should be interesting to see if I can actually keep a blog and post on a regular basis.

Several points:
1: Blog posts can be short, it's ok.
2: TV shows are later here than there. Otherwise things like American Idol would be on at 5pm in LA and 11am in Hawaii.
3: The dolls you ask about are commonly referred to as Russian Nesting (or Nested) Dolls. The official name for them is Matryoshka, but that's too hard for most of us to remember. Yet another name for them is Babushka, which is russian for "old lady" "grandmother" or "mother-in-law". Babushka can also refer to various other things and it gets confusing from there, but don't worry, it all comes back to the Kennedy Assassination. (Really, it does.)
